Course and Facilitator Certification Opportunity: Enhancing Math

Registration is now open for the state-level Enhancing Math course. This course is designed to deepen understanding of the kinds of difficulties students have with mathematics, with a focus on content related to expressions and equations. The course will provide an approach and strategies to support the math learning of struggling students, particularly those with learning disabilities. **Course content has been revised to include connections to the Standards for Mathematical Practice, content examples from upper elementary through Algebra 1, and an updated video. For more information or to register for the course, see the Enhancing Math course flyer.

There will also be an opportunity for those interested in becoming certified (or recertified) as trainers of the course. **Beginning with the 2017-2018 school year, all course facilitators must be either certified (if they are new to the course) or recertified (if they received certification prior to 2017) to offer the revised course. (Mi)^2 will no longer support previous versions of Enhancing Mathematics. To apply for facilitator certification or recertification, including attending the 3-day revised training and fourth day for facilitator certification, visit the 2018 Enhancing Math Facilitator Application. Facilitator applications are due by November 30, 2018.
